This duet makes a lot of music! There is something for everyone in the crowd to enjoy from foot tapping bluegrass to the oldies rock & roll. Charlotte and Charley are one half of the "Sweetwater String Band" but play more often than not as a duet. They are pictured here with the band including David McLauglin on banjo and Red Henry on Mandolin or fiddle. Look for their first duet cd soon.

Charlotte Swanson & Charley Smith Duet Recent News
Charlotte and Charley recorded "Save The Gateway". This song was written by Charlotte with arrangement help by Charley. The idea for the song came because of a group of citizens in Front Royal VA fought to keep a beautiful parcel of land free of developement. You will be able to hear it at this website:saveourgateway.com The duet played at a private event on June 8, 2006 and was so excited when the great fiddler Bobby Hicks joined them on stage for a couple of songs.
For the last few years, they performed for the Winchester Medical Center Auxilliary Follies and in 2008 performed for the Volunteer Luncheon and Award Ceremony for the WMC volunteers.
